Since 1825, Joseph Perrier has embodied a unique style: that of a balanced, luminous champagne that remains faithful to its terroir. Based in Châlons-en-Champagne in unique Gallo-Roman cellars, the house has been cultivating expertise passed down from generation to generation for nearly two centuries.
As early as the 19th century, Joseph Perrier was renowned for the finesse of his wines. The house became the official supplier to Queen Victoria andEdward VII, a seminal episode that would give its name to the Cuvée Royale. This prestigious connection still contributes to the house's identity and international renown today.
Under the current leadership of Benjamin Fourmon, representative of the sixth generation, Joseph Perrier respects tradition while pursuing responsible modernization of the vineyard and winery. The precise work carried out on the terroirs of Cumières, Hautvillers, Verneuil, and Bassuet allows for the creation of balanced champagnes, where freshness and elegance remain historical hallmarks.
In 2025, the house will celebrate its 200th anniversary: two centuries of history, high standards, and tradition, sensitively recounted in the Paris Match article, a vibrant testimony to a family that continues, even today, to bring its heritage to life.
